MOJO’s The Circuit The Blog: An Apology to Deepak

Let me start off by apologizing to poor Deepak. In the Pilot episode, we apparently decided that it would be a good idea to completely butcher his middle name — not on purpose of course, we just assumed that my completely phonetic guess was correct.

It wasn’t. This is why I’m banned from spelling phonetically ever again. So, let me correct it now, Deepak’s full name is:

Deepak Colundalur Ananthapadmanabha.

He even provided us with a pronunciation key:

Dee-pak

Col-un-da-lur

A-nan-tha-pad-man-ab-ha

I hope you’re paying attention, because there’s going to be a test after this.

So far, the Pilot and Episode 1 have launched and we’re happy with the result. Can it be better? Absolutely. All of us — the writers, the producers, the editors — we’re all adapting and learning as we go, seeing what works, what doesn’t, what makes us laugh, what makes us cry and so on.

From this last episode, I’m a big fan of the Ben Curtis segment. Deepak’s delivery on, “DUDE, YOU’RE GETTING A CHICKEN PARM…” is pure gold and Ben was a great sport. Maybe he’ll come back to lend his significant Dell knowledge to a future episode.

I’m personally fond of Emery Wells’ (isn’t that a great name? It’s like he’s a porn star from the future) D&D segment. It reminds me of the days that my brother would drag me to play D&D with his friends and we’d spend 5 hours making characters and an hour playing. That was always the fun part, wasn’t it? Creating an alternate persona, rolling dice, eating Cheetos, figuring out your powers — for a twelve year old, there’s nothing better. It’s definitely one of the reasons I went into writing — nothing quite beats creating life out of nothing.

But I digress.

We have a lot more in store for you. A lot more funny, a lot more news, a hilarious Comic-Con segment and a whole lot more. We’re also working on throwing together a YouTube site for some isolated segments and bloopers.

So, keep watching and stay tuned — we’ve got a lot more funny coming your way.

I was linked to this from a different website. It was hilarious. Like a Daily show for gadget geeks. It’s kind of late but a segment on rick rolling would be hilarious. I’ll definitely be watching this show!

    Deepak -

Just caught the show by accident. Even funnier than what used to go on in master control at 1010 WINS! I will be waiting for the boxed set…
