MOJO’s The Circuit The Blog

Hello and welcome to MOJO’s The Circuit. Or more specifically, MOJO’s The Circuit The Blog. My name is Yuri Baranovsky, I’m the Head Writer on the show and have also been assigned to write you the first blog. Is it because the Producers figured no one will read the first blog? It’s possible. The crew mostly keeps me in a basement, feeding me scraps of metal and circuitry, taunting me and whipping me into a writing frenzy until I can produce enough material for Deepak and the others to wow you.

They let me out to write the blog, though.

Let me start off by saying — watch the Pilot. Let me follow that up by saying — Kai (the other writer) and I wrote it about four months ago, and in tech news, four months is around forty-three years. It’s a little out-of-date but it’s a good introduction to the show, a show that we promise will evolve and develop as the weeks go by and we all begin to understand what it is you like, what it is we like and what it is Steve Jobs likes.

This is, after all, for you, Steve.

This show is going to be good. Really good. I promise. I think we’ve got a fantastic host, I think the Producers are great, the guys at Creative Bubble (the Production company filming the show) are talented beyond compare and MOJO provides a great, comfortable home where we can learn to flap our wings and fly.

So, watch, enjoy, tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell your family, tell people that you nod awkwardly to when you see them on the street — tell everyone you can because we’re The Circuit and we’re here to blow your mind.

-Yuri Baranovsky

P.S. Aside from the weekly episodes, we’ll be doing our best to update this blog as much as possible, so check back for the latest news and musings from myself and the other cast/crew as they write it. Enjoy the show!

Well despite their horrendous treatment of their writers :0( , I gotta say I really dig the show. Funny stuff, cool effects, great jokes, and a fun host, I’m psyched to see how the show evolves and how it plays out when it’s not based off of 43 year old material.

My friend just ran into this and showed me the first episode…when he explained to me the concept, I was a little wary, but I have to say I lol’d quite a few times…the monkey joke being my favourite…The design is pretty cool and Ithought the writing was actually pretty snappy and offbeat and funny, the host was really likeable too…nice to have a younger face deliver a current and hip script…Kudos—PS keep working those monkey jokes in…I’m a fan!

The writing was clever, the narration was well done but the entire feature “jumped” out at me because of the imaginative and well done camera work! Kudos to the cameraperson!

First of all, I wanted to say that I am a huge Break A Leg fan and I saw this show on one of the Break A Leg blogs! Way to go Yuri on getting the head writing gig for Mojo’s The Circuit! You guys are in good hands :) So far I like, I like very much! And I’d like to think that I like what Steve Jobs likes. I like to see good internet material get lucrative million dollar deals and I’m sure Steve does too. Cheers!
